Free hard-copy books for reviewers

Here’s the deal: if you are one of the first 20 people who choose to provide a “validated purchaser” book review on Amazon, I’d be delighted to send you a copy of the physical (paperback) book for free. [See some location exceptions below]

All you have to do is:

  • Obtain a Kindle copy (use the link below). If you haven’t bought that yet, but commit to a review and have a track record, I’ll be happy to send the ebook instead.
  • Read it at least enough to write an honest review on Amazon. This offer isn’t contingent on you providing a 5-star review.  But, if you do find a particular error or something I may have overlooked, or it otherwise annoys you, such that you are thinking of a rating of 3 or less, please let me know before you post the rating as I may well be able to address that issue  Being an e-book, it can be fixed in a jiffy.
  • Send me an e-mail identifying the review as yours (lots of people use screen names for reviews, so I wouldn’t necessarily know).

If you don’t want to do all that you can still get the book at its current price (maybe Amazon has a sale going on, who knows?). You can get it from the link below also.

Otherwise, when you let me know of your review, I’ll send you a copy of the paperback book, and, if it is reasonably possible depending on postage costs to where you live, I will send you a signed copy, with a grateful inscription.  It may not be immediately, depending on whether I have any on hand, but it should be within 2-4 weeks, maybe less.

Books available for this deal:

Cover-MINI-C-rwb-full-pot

Let It Simmer: Making Project, Portfolio and Program Management Practices Stick in a Skeptical Organization

Global Hot Spots: How Enterprise and Project Risk Management Practices Generate Business Results Around the World

Simmer Down: How to Deliver Great Projects Despite Impossible Deadlines and Unreasonable Budgets

Hot Spots: Turn Your Enterprise Risk Management Practice Into a Key Driver of Business Performance

It might be more than 20 people, depending on how things go, especially if you are in the DC-MD-VA area where I can deliver it instead of shipping it, but 20 is the commitment.

Unfortunately, due to exorbitant postage rates elsewhere, this offer is only valid if I can ship direct to you from one of Amazon’s global production facilities at a reasonable rate (under $10).

I would of course be grateful if the review was also posted on Goodreads and other such sites, but since Amazon is the big kahuna, that’s a necessary part of the deal.
